What to do when Google Ads conversion tracking breaks or is giving you wrong data

Quite often I am asked to review a clients Google ads account to see which campaigns are profitable and which ad campaigns are not.

9 times out of 10 the Google conversion tracking is set up incorrectly and the data being provided is not accurate which makes things very hard to make informed decisions about the campaign.

Even so the client expects an answer.

Here is a simple little Google Analytics tip you can use when you need to make some quick decisions and Google Ads tracking is broken or not accurate.

This can relate to the conversion tracking code not being installed correctly or Google Tag manager being broken or not used correctly.

This Google analytics tip typically works all the time I use it a lot particularly in Ecommerce.

I thought it might be useful for other people particularly if you are in the lead generation business or if you are in to conversion tracking and measuring.
